HERE COMES THE US
WASHINGTON, Nov 23 (Reuters) - The United States will propose an emissions reduction target at a U.N. climate change summit in Copenhagen, a senior administration official said on Monday.
The official also said the White House would decide in the coming days when and whether President Barack Obama would attend the December meeting.
He added the emissions cut proposal would be consistent with the legislative process in the U.S. Congress.
Several heads of state and government have agreed to attend the meeting but Obama has not yet confirmed his attendance.
